State guidelines state each nurse has to have 5 years of experience, not 2 years.
GA has to run a fingerprint background check that gives us the green or red light to hire nurses; with this feature, we are able to see other employers that have hired the nurse in the last 3 years, allowing AHC to successfully complete the reference check.  We do spot checks at home with no notice to the nurse; this allows the agency to maintain a proactive approach with the level of care we expect our team to provide.  We do 6 and 12-month performance evaluations to ensure the nurse’s skill set is aligned with the client’s care needs. In-services are done each month to continue to provide current and pertinent information to our nurses.
